What is the attraction to gold or silver jewellery?
Author: admin
For a long time women especially have worn gold or silver and it always seems popular. I understand wearing perfume to attrach someone through smell and make up to alter the face - but what does jewellery actually do? Interested to hear mens thoughts too - is it a "turn on" or don't you notice?
No idea.
I personally hate jewellery.

Tarnish is the result of Oxidation. Oxidation is the reaction that occurs when the material in question is in contact with oxygen.
You can protect items from tarnishing by keeping them away from oxygen. You can do this by lightly coating the jewelry in wax but that solution is somewhat extreme.
I think the best way to maintain such items is to store them in a dry, tightly sealed environment. Even when sealed away, however, items will still tarnish over time. For extra protection you can place oxygen scavenging packets in the container with the item. If you live in a humid region you might want to also put some water vapor scavengers (silica packets) in there too.
www.drypak.com and similar companies carry the items you would need for this.
Of course, there are acid solutions available that gently remove tarnish should it occur.
Or one elswhere in the world that will ship to the UK and not charge the earth for doing so.
I have been making jewellery for three years now and having recently become interested in paganism would like to branch out into making pagan-inspired jewellery.
So, I'm looking for a wholesaler (or a reasonably priced retailer) who sells goddess/green man/pentacle/triquetra etc etc charms that I can incorporate into my jewellery. Preferably copper, pewter or Sterling silver.
Not E-Bay, please, I've looked there exhaustively already!
Many thanks in advance for any help.

Please don't copy and paste something from the net, I am wanting information from a real live person. I can copy and paste information myself.
Thanks in advance for any help.
What I really want is an appraisel of a couple of pieces that I have. Do you know anyone willing to give free honest appraisels?
Mariam Haskell is very good high grade fashion jewelry. Some of it sells quite high. You can see examples on www.rubylane.com, . What other questions do you have?

I know this might not sound ‘respectable’ but eBay is really amazing for vintage jewellery.. there is some expensive stuff on their too it’s not just cheap junk. Especially look at the eBay shops because there are people who specialise in vintage accessories ![]()
