My Mother has given me jewellery in my wedding in front of my whole family and then my mother in law gave me a jewellry but now she has taken my whole jewellry from the first day of mine in her house. The jewellry was actually my marraige gift which is given by every mother to her daughter and every mother in law gives to her daughter in law. It was my marraige gift and she is not given me back. She is telling me that i will not give your jewellry do whatever u want to do. In This case My Husband is supporting me but my mother in law is not willing to give nor she is trying to understand anything. She is abusing my parents also. Her Family is not at all supportive. We had try each and ever thing to make herself understand, Now I want to take some action. Now what to do. Please help.

Wait a while.

If your living in a joint family, then you cant help it. But you could try this. Wait till there is some ceremony in your family..like a wedding or thread ceremony or something like that..then ask your Mother in law, very poiltely, to let you wear the jewelery for the occasion. She will not say "no" because it is an important occasion.,and people wear jewelery for such occasions. So she will give it to you.

Now, when the wedding or whatever is OVER..she will ask you for the jewelery once again. Isn’t it simple? DONT GIVE IT TO HER THIS TIME!! Since your husband is with you on this one, he wont say anything. Go, put the damn jewels in a bank locker or something. Keep it far away from your mother in law as soon as you can!

Okay, so me and my friend’s birthdays are coming up. The first is in two weeks and we are all going shopping in the city, doing the whole vintage thing and looking at all those poky little stores down side streets xD. My other friend’s bday is in November, and I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO FOR IT! Mine is in April, ages away, and I want to have something like a boho bonfire on the beach - only trouble is that fires on ANY of the beaches where I live is illegal. We could do a BBQ on the beach, but I’m not so sure. Any ideas for any of the three parties? Also presents! We are making a scrapbook for the first one, but we want to get some personalised jewellery but NO IDEA where to start.

Stainless steel, titanium, platinum. High street stores are selling much more than just silver and gold these days. Have even seen wooden jewellery if that’s more ‘him’

I am going to be honest with you, your mother in law, does not want you, she is jelous, she is angry you married her son and she sees you as a threat to her, like you will take him from her. She is selfish and there is nothing you can do she will probably never change. If you live with her, you should really tell your husband you cannot handle her and her disrespects, andtell him you love him but until his mother can respect you will stay with your family, and still be his loving wife until you find a solution.If you cant leave, then ok,. Your mil is not going to give you the jewelry, and she is happy you are upset about it, so the more you get upset about it the more she feels she wins inside, tell her fine whatever, if she wants to steal that is her sin to do so. and act like you do not care at all about it, do not ask of it, do not cry, or get upset, she wants to make you that way, you should smile even more and laugh more, and tell your husband you love him very much often so she can feel the anger, and know you are winning, and then tell her Oh I love my husband, so she can see she is not going to get rid of you, you are staying married to him, just ignore her negative stuff now, the jewrly can wait. Just try not to let her see your upset, act happy,–believe me she will be so mad!!!! hahaha I hope I helped you
