Sterling Silver Marcasite Cross Pendant

Nickel-free Sterling silver, Marcasite pendant featuring an elegant cross design. Sarraf.com guarantees that our Sterling silver merchandise is 925 Sterling or above. Marcasite is a form of iron pyrite which was used as early as the time of the Ancie nt Greeks. Our Marcasite comes primarily from Switzerland and from Thailand. Marcasite stones are individually hand set. When our Marcasite jewellery is created, we oxidize the silver to prevent future tarnish. This process gives all of our pieces th e antique or vintage look. The image is the actual size of the item.

Recently 60th birthday, wasn’t satisfied with my 100 Euro voucher for a restaurant she frequents. Clearly expressed that she was horrified by my lack of generosity, that the value of the gift offered represents the extent of love for the person. My father spent over 8,000 Euro on jewellery, a painting and a trip. Good for him, a way to clear his guilty conscious, you know what I mean! He was also insulted by my selfishness and both made me feel like crap. So, it doesn’t matter that I have a mortgage and no curtains in my bedroom, I’m just an ungrateful son. I’m in my early thirties, gay and have been in a wonderful relationship for 9.5 years. My parents have never accepted my sexuality, gave me so much crap all my life and I feel damaged inside. my life is perfect and then there she goes and throws another blow at me. I need to express this as I think I’m going mad and would love some opinions on this and what I should do. Fortunately, I don’t live in the same country as my parents. I think it is nice to have nice things in life, but to be dominated by money like my parents is sick. I’ve heard nothing but who gave her what for her birthday, even a neighbour was more generous than me, and conversation is always about what what she did and what she bought. I don’t live on the same planet, I appreciate the simple things in life, a nice card with sweet words, a walk to discover the changing colours of Autumn, and for Christmas I told my friend I wanted a nail brush for after gardening, and Jacobs Cream Crackers = difficult to find in France. That’s all I need and want, and that will make me happy. My parents never ask me who may partner is when I phone them, if she isn’t happy with something she’ll hang up, and she just told me that now that she is 60 that she has all the rights to do and say what pleases her. DANGER ! So, all this wears heavy on me, I try not to think, so I’m always doing things and refuse to stop, but today I decided to share my inner self on yahoo questions beacuse things are gnawing at me and I need some exterior view points. Thanks.

Damn Teach sorry to hear about your sad relation ship with "Mommy Dearest" wish i could say it’s a generation gap affair, but it doesn’t read like that at all.
Teach all I can say is that you sound like a sensible, intelligent man, who, despite the parents has managed to get on with life and make the best of what little you have. Refreshing to hear your attitudes towards material possessions It underlines how lucky I have been with my parents.
If I could mate, I would send you a pair of curtains.

Good luck and kind regards to you and your lucky partner.

Well i have a prom in the early summer coming up, im kinda indie/rocker/biker chick style an really would hate to wear a typical prom dress cost hundreds of pounds.. soo.. i’v been looking and cheap monday is a favourite brand of mine, do u think it would be too casual for a prom dress? ( i refuse to spend much over £50 on the dress)

AND.. i will be accesorising with a bag, belt and jewellery from my local vintage stores =)) so it wouldnt be too bland i dont think.. post if you have any better ideas too please =D thanks!

Oh dear. This fabric is cheap and tacky. Plus it’s shiny so it will emphasize every flaw you may or may not have.

I love the colour though maybe not for early summer, I don’t like the fabric or the oh so predictable gathering at the bust. I think you can do better.

There is a course local to me but its full…I’d really love to learn this skill. Does anyone know if there’s a central body I can contact for local courses or workshops, or perhaps know of anywhere in Edinburgh I could learn this skill?

There’s a lady called Norma Devlin who teaches. I haven’t found a college in Edinburgh which does it, although she may know more. Her blogspot goes under the name of maidinedinburgh.
