My mother is simple, Evey time I ask her what she wants she tells me nothing, she says to buy her a scarf if I have to buy her something but I don’t want to buy her a scarf, Does anyone have any idea as to what to buy her? She rarely wears jewelry and shes very picky with shoes

I’m a 42 mother and told my dear son that I don’t want he buys me something for Xmas, just want he keeps his money for himself and buys something he likes.
However, I think that a card with a nice poem or a lovely frame with a pic of your mother and you would be the greatest gifts you could give her as all she needs is to know that you love her.

I have a pandora bracelet and all the charms have sentimental value. I love penguins since watching marth of the penguins and wanted a pandora charm of one to remind me of the rewards of hard work and perserverence, but was a little disappointed that the ‘penguin’ charm looks more like a chicken, what do you think?

Well i have a pandora bracelet, and love getting new charms that mean something. I think the penguin is cute, and all that really matters is that you know its a penguin, and attach your sentimental value to it!

why is it considered vintage?

Generally speaking, "vintage" is approx. 50 years old. However, there are exceptions for items that are instantly associated with a certain time. For example: peace signs, go-go boots, mini skirts are from the 1960’s. The 70’s had it’s own Victorian Revival with high lace collars, filigree jewelry. The 80’s had heavy goldtone collar necklaces, etc. Even though these items aren’t quite 50 years old, most people would accept them as "vintage".

I recently opened a business where I sell handcrafted jewelry created out of semi-precious stones and metals. I am operating off of a shoe-string budget and have now depleted all my funds. I’d hoped that putting out flyers and word of mouth would have helped as well as having a free barbecue, but it has done nothing. I also sell a few handbags, belts and unique novelty items.

Can anyone offer any advice as to what I can do to bring in more customers. Serious responses please.

You can create a wordpress e-commerce website. Its free and very easy to use. But the perfect place to show your products is at Etsy.com — all products sold and bought there are handmade.

Hi, I am opening up a home based jewelry business which may expand to handbags as well. The jewelry is all fashion jewelry which is mostly designer inspired.
