How should I go about selling my handcrafted jewellery ?
Author: admin
Selling online is a highly competitive and sometimes costly venture. Have you considered ‘flea markets’, vendor booths, bizzarres at different functions? For instance, in my area, they have a ‘trade days’ weekend in several different areas. Vendors are charged a for booth or ‘table’ space. I know several people who do this very successfully.
Also, I belong to several ‘meetups’ in my area. One of the groups is having a ‘bizzarre of their own at a local restuarant. These people all do different things, from various home party plans, to making items such as jewelry. Each one is bringing his/her items, they have made arrangements with the establishment to get a free meeting room, and will offer their products to each other and diners who come in. I thought it was very clever.
I can tell you more about getting meeting rooms for free and getting others to participate if this is something of interest to you.

I’m going to be selling some cute handcrafted jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces, & maybe even earrings. So is Paige’s Pendants a good Etsy name, if not what should I choose?
Thanks.
I think it’s catchy. I like it. Easy to remember.
I’ve had a few visitors, but no sales. Is my site attractive or distracting? Are my prices too high, too low, or just right? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
First of all, your jewelery is lovely! Secondly, your website is perfect: easy to navigate, clear descriptions, warm, inviting, and professional.
I would suggest that your sales are not reflecting this due to advertising/marketing.
Try to circulate your business throughout the internet as well as locally. Make business cards (unless you already have them) and pass them around to friends and coworkers. If you participate in craft fairs, offer your business cards there. You could even pin a business card on a local bulletin board at the grocery store. Ask if you can leave a stack of business cards around local botiques and other small businesses.
This is all about getting your name out there and bringing traffic to your website.
I’ve hosted "socials" to circulate my name. Get a group of friends together and have them invite as many people as possible that may be interested in your product. Pack a little "showcase" and let everyone check out your merchandise while enjoying an evening in.
Good luck =)

I’m looking for some handcrafted beaded jewelry. Where’s some good websites to look?
I recommend http://beadingconcepts.com. I buy a lot of my beaded jewelry through them.
What are some creative business names?

Greetings! I am opening an Etsy shop to sell my handcrafted items. I do mostly wedding accessories, but also make baby items and jewelry. Basically, if it holds still long enough, I can craft with it.
But, I need a name that is simple enough to be memorable but also creative. I’ve considered Muse Mementos, but am looking for additional suggestions as well. Hopefully this online business will be successful enough to open a shop at some point. Thanks!

Nice stuff but nothing special really in such a competitive market. I regularly attend artisan shows and would like to include some unique handcrafted items. Would it be best to just link to their sites or carry some select pieces and sell from my site (ie; XYZ Studio Collection)??? Any advice or other ideas welcomed and appreciated!
I would suggest you B2B website to look for suppliers of the products you need to buy. B2B websites list suppliers and manufacturers from different parts of world with contact details and product information. It becomes easier for buyers to locate these suppliers and contact them from B2B websites. Some good B2B websites include http://www.hellotrade.com and http://www.globalsources.com.

Am I technically indie?
Author: admin
First off, I do NOT want to be labeled as indie. That word seems synonymous with arrogant trend-zombies who get a bender when they find a band no one has heard of and then buy their record. But I am often called indie, and I want to know if it’s ignorance or my appearance/actions that get me labeled as such.
I: wear vintage dresses (and always have, way before this damned trend started), I buy records (of bands you know, honest!) because I grew up in a family who collected them, I’m a photographer and carry my camera everywhere, I do enjoy some music that is classified as ‘indie’ but I’m confused as to why this would contribute (does ‘indie’ not stand for ‘independent’ as in ‘independent music label/unsigned band?) and I have an affinity for handcrafted jewellery.
Honestly I have no idea what the ‘indie’ trend is, because to me ‘indie’ refers to an unsigned band or a band signed to an independent label.
So am I technically ‘indie’?
People call me indie a lot too, even though I thought it was a genre of music too…
I’m a vegetarian, I like photography, I listen to some unheard of music, some popular and some classic. I wear some vintage clothes (also always have)
Seems as if we’re into a lot of the same things, and people label me as indie.
But see, the thing is. They’re GOING to label you as something. Why does it matter what?

need to know if there is a "Kathleen’s Kreations" in the western U.S. that makes handcrafted jewelry and is on the internet
it doesn’t seem likely
