Belmont Army Vintage has a lot.
They’re located on the 4th floor of the Belmont Army building (big and silver @ Clark/Belmont). They have trees full of necklaces, and rows upon rows of earrings. Majority will run you about $4-10. Each floor of the building is different, so make sure you go all the way up!

Hope this helps!

I have alot of jewelry over 1000 pieces from estate sales, yard sales, and so on. Much is vintage costume jewelry but there is a little of everything. I want to make up mystery "grab bags" priced from .25 to $5.00 with jewelry. What do you think? Good idea?
no refunds. That’s the point of being a mystery bag. Each bag will have well worth what they paid. If they pay .25 then te bag value is like 3-5$ that is why the price is only 25 tey are not loosing much

This is a very interesting concept. However, if its money for your jewelry that you crave, I think you’re likely to make more using a site like http://www.refinity.com. You can sell your old scrap jewelry or gold to them, and get a good kickback. Had a friend who used them. But I admit, it’s not as adventurous as filling mystery jewelry bags to the brim.

I have blondish, brownish hair, and grrenish, hazelish eyes.
I am 79 pounds, and 4"11.
I will be 13 tomorrow.
I am the flower girl.

vintage ysl necklace?

I recently inherited a vintage gold (costume Jewelry) YSL necklace with pink and red colored glass. Does anyone know what something like this be worth? Not to familiar with name brands.

It’ll probably be worth a few hundred dollars. I would try looking around at places like ebay for price comparisons on similar items. However, you can always take it to your local jeweler and have them appraise it for you or give you an approximation. They should do it for free.

Go to some place where people that wear that kind of stuff hang out and ask if aybody wants to buy it. If the market won’t come to you, go to the market.

Buying costume jewelry+?

Does anyone know of ideas on where to find inexpensive large quantities of vintage costume jewelry? I do go to estate sales/auctions/garage sales. Looking for other sources.

I go to the good will and salvation army in a upscale neighborhood. The stuff is great!

I am new to it, but I especially like Ssarah Coventry……would any americans tell me some more designers on the same lines as SC please, and in the same budget. I just don’t know any other names to look out for.

Wow - that’s a blast from the past! Another I liked was Monet. Actually still being made, but older pieces are really nice.

Vintage jewelry is very popular. You can either reuse it for jewelry, or .. use them all for scrapbooks and other paper craft. How about a personalized jewelry box? Start with a teak box, paint and start adding your sparkles!

having searched many websites, I cannot find this particular type of pin. Its more like an art form in that it appears carved; possibly out of a bone or composite type material. There are no gems or jewels, just cute images or likenesses ( a small Scottie dog for example) and 2 of these have JAPAN stamped on the back. Anyone have a clue? TY TY TY !!

These pins were popular in the 40’s. It sounds like a knockoff of the very popular Scotty dog pin in bakelite. There is a bakelite jewelry info page on ebay that would help you. Good luck!! : P
