You would probably be better off taking it to an appraiser. A site cannot list every peice of vintage jewelry, and even if it was one where you send a picture of what you have, they really need to see it up close to tell the condition. Especially if it has stones in it. Do some price checking around your neighborhood to see what some charge for an appraisal. Or just take it into a store that does appraisals and ask if they know anything about your piece.

I have a vintage Rolex ladies dress watch. It is nothing like the modern Rolexes I have encountered. It has a tiny rectangular face and a smooth, flexible solid gold band. In addition I have a Rolex woven goldbracelet which has flowers on it, made of pearls and rose-cut diamonds. Both pieces have been authenticated but I find out much more than that.

I’m looking for some vintage items of Swarovski jewelry made by the Swarovski Company. When I use any search engine, I get tons of sites that have Swarovski beads or handmade items using Swarovski beads, but that’s not the jewelry made by Swarovski themselves. The Swarovski Club might be a site, but I’m not a member and I’m not planning on joinning since I’m really not a collector. Thanks for any help.
The problem with ebay is that everyone is selling the jewelry they made themselves with Swarovski beads. Also most of the other sites are selling the new Swarovski jewelry. I’m looking for vintage Swarovski made jewelry. Thanks

Try these sites ……

Where can I find relatively cheap vintage jewelry and/or beads and jewelry/art supplies in Tucson, Arizona? I’m interested in making my own jewelry and refurbishing vintage finds but I’m just not sure where to look. I know of a few bead shops but they don’t really suit my needs and are rather expensive. Does anyone know of any good places or thrift stores to find unique pieces?
I like How Sweet It Was but since I go there a lot it’s somewhat boring to me. Thank you though :)

You can try looking at eBay auctions, vintage clothing stores, flea markets, secondhand stores, antique stores, etc. That’s where I tend to look. It usually requires a little footwork, but sometimes you can not only find what your looking for but a lot of other cool treasures to boot.

Vintage jewelry that will allow me to identify a piece of jewelry that I believe is valuble.

If the jewelry is signed, you could go on ebay and get some sort of idea, or your local library will have books on vintage jewelry.

I collect these- I find them randomly at antique stores. Most are a gold-toned or pewter decorative box and are lined with red velvet. Does anyone know anything about these? A maker or year?? The history??

Yeah
My grandfather is an antique dealer and he had one of these. He said most of them are worth about 5 dollars depending on the condition because they are not really rare. Some times you can find a nice piece of jewelry inside. One of his had a silver necklace in it. He gave it to me! The best way to find out is to try to find small writing on the box and jewelry and google it. Thats how I fins stuff out for antiques.
