What is the attraction to gold or silver jewellery?
For a long time women especially have worn gold or silver and it always seems popular. I understand wearing perfume to attrach someone through smell and make up to alter the face - but what does jewellery actually do? Interested to hear mens thoughts too - is it a "turn on" or don't you notice?
No idea.
I personally hate jewellery.

it is a woman thing and their opinions but men like women with some jewelry it it a BIG turn on for some

it tells people you are rich but make sure it is real i have a 100 mill. carat diamond it was 1.5 mill

i think it shows wealth. its like saying i have enough money to afford gold jewelry. As to the silver, silver goes with pretty much anything so it would be worn a lot. Also, there are so many different
things you can do to silver jewelry to make it appealing.

Its pretty and shinny and they like how it looks on them. they use it for showing off and to be fashionable.

Gold doesnt tarnish, ever, it always stays brilliant and it was a very pliable metal so wa good for jewelry. In Antiquity, the "important" people wore jewlery to show their status or wealth … it's due to the rarity of the metal … so in modern times, we follow this tradition where it became fashionable to wear gold. Silver is also a precious metal due to it's rarity, but it is less rare and it tarnishes so is not as popular as gold.

As a woman, I love to accessorize and what better than by wearing either Silver or Gold depending on what you have on. I'm wearing Jewelry not to impress others but because I want to look good!

To see the 'live' spot NY gold price and some museum size gold nuggets I suggest you visit a great site I found a few months ago. I purchase a few nuggets from them just about a month ago, and not only are they beautiful to look at but in just the last few weeks they have really moved up in value!
